Imagine a large boulder being placed in a small stream. Above the boulder the stream begins to flood, water feebly attempts to trickle downstream with the current, but it’s blocked. The stream is unable to take its natural course, to flow freely, without restraint. The same thing can happen in our bodies. When our energy channels become blocked, our homeostasis is disrupted, causing pain, discomfort or dis-ease. Qigong brings us back to a state of balance, it removes the boulder from the stream.
